By Comfort Asemota

Fast-rising Nigerian artist Ekunrawo and Tanzanian R&B sensation Juma Jux have joined forces to release a new single titled “Halima”, a smooth Afro-fusion track already generating buzz across Africa.

Produced by Nigerian hit-maker P Jay Beat, the song is available on all major streaming platforms and marks a significant milestone for Ekunrawo, who continues to carve out a unique space in the Afrobeats scene. The collaboration adds another cross-border hit to his growing catalogue.

“Halima” blends Afrobeats, Bongo Flava, and R&B elements, with both artistes delivering a soulful performance celebrating beauty, love, and admiration. Ekunrawo’s vibrant vocals pair seamlessly with Jux’s smooth, Swahili-laced delivery, creating a track poised for heavy rotation on radio and playlists.

Ekunrawo, born Adeleke Timileyin Tunde, a trained civil engineer from the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of Volgograd State Technical University (IACE of VSTU) in Russia, described the collaboration as “a dream come true,” adding that working with Jux brought a new level of texture and depth to the record. “This song is special. It’s for everyone who has ever been inspired by love,” he said.

Jux praised Ekunrawo’s artistry, saying, “The energy was perfect, and the chemistry in the studio was real. ‘Halima’ is one of those songs that connects instantly.”

Ekunrawo, who is also a serial entrepreneur and married to a Russian, shared that the timing is right to expand his footprint in the African music industry. From sleeping under a bridge in Ajah to building a life in Russia, his journey is a testament to resilience, discipline, and unwavering belief.

Reflecting on his rise, Ekunrawo said, “I have been able to turn my life around with dedication and focus. Over the years, I went to university, earned a degree, got married, built multiple multi-million-dollar businesses, and released several high-profile songs.”

“Halima” represents not just a musical collaboration but a celebration of determination, creativity, and the unifying power of music across borders.
