The Nigerian Air Force has delivered a devastating blow to Boko Haram/ISWAP remnants in the heart of Sambisa Forest, completely destroying a major terrorist stronghold at Arra in Borno State.
In a statement Wednesday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF spokesman, confirmed that jets from the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai carried out coordinated, successive strikes on the Arra hideout following a direct order from Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.
How it went down:
- Triggered by the deadly October 17 ambush at Kashomri that killed several troops
- Weeks of relentless ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) tracked fleeing terrorists back to Sambisa
- Persistent monitoring revealed heavy activity and fortified structures at Arra
- NAF jets swooped in with multiple attack runs — all targets obliterated
Result: Terrorist command posts, logistics hubs, and active cells neutralised Significant degradation of their operational capability in the Sambisa axis
Air Marshal Aneke’s message was clear:
“The Nigerian Air Force will continue to hunt terrorists wherever they hide and ensure they have no breathing space across the nation.”
X is celebrating:
- “Sambisa is no longer safe for terrorists — NAF turning forests into graveyards”
- “From Kashomri revenge to Arra ashes — that’s how you respond”
- #NAFStrikes and #EndTerrorism trending with footage of smoke rising from Sambisa
This is the latest in a string of aggressive air campaigns that have decimated terrorist enclaves across the North-East in recent weeks.
The message from the skies is loud: Run, hide, or die — Nigeria is coming for you.

Well done, Nigerian Air Force. Keep the pressure on. ✈️💥🇳🇬 #OperationHadinKai #NAFonFire #SambisaFlattened
