The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has kicked off the physical verification of credentials and travel documents for Nigerian graduates trained abroad who signed up for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year, aiming to streamline their mobilization process.
The three-day exercise, running from today—Monday, November 10—to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, targets prospective corps members (PCMs) whose online registrations are complete but await in-person document checks. This follows a 48-hour extension of the online registration window on Friday, due to reported network glitches, pushing the cutoff to midnight on Tuesday, November 11.
In a statement titled “Notification of Physical Verification of Credentials and Travel Documents of Foreign-Trained Graduates for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year,” shared on the NYSC’s X account Sunday evening, the management stressed the need for order: PCMs must adhere to the date, time, and venue printed on their verification slips to prevent chaos and overcrowding.
Designated verification hubs nationwide include:
| Center | Location |
|---|---|
| NYSC Secretariat | 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu |
| Shadawanka Military Barracks | Bauchi |
| NYSC Orientation Camp | Kubwa, Abuja |
| Bukavu Military Barracks | Fagge, Airport Road, Kano |
| NYSC Orientation Camp | Iyana Ipaja, Lagos |
| NYSC Secretariat | New Ikirun Road, Osogbo |
| NYSC Secretariat | 40 Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt |
| Eagle Officers Mess, Gingiya Military Barracks | Gusau Road, Sokoto |
| NYSC Secretariat | Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola |
Participants are required to bring originals of all uploaded credentials and travel documents. Medical graduates face extra scrutiny: they must upload licenses, registration certificates, and other professional body-issued papers online, then present the hard copies at the centers.
For degrees needing official validation, PCMs should submit original Evaluation Letters from the Federal Ministry of Education (if applicable) directly to NYSC Headquarters in Abuja, with acknowledged copies uploaded during registration.
The NYSC underscored the stakes: “Only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified, and cleared would be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service.” Non-compliance could derail service eligibility, so the agency implored all eligible foreign-trained grads to show up as directed.
This verification push aligns with broader efforts to bolster the integrity of the NYSC mobilization for the batch, ensuring seamless integration into the one-year mandatory program for fresh graduates.
