Patrick Ochoga, Edo State correspondent of Leadership newspaper has emerged chairman, Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Edo State council.
Ochoga defeated his opponent, Mr. Micheal Egbejule of The Guardian newspaper in the election held on Wednesday at the secretariat of the Correspondents Chapel.
His election reflects the confidence his peers have in his leadership and commitment to advancing journalism in Edo State
Ochoga is an award-winning Nigerian journalist with over 15 years of experience in journalism and media public relations.
Throughout his career, Ochoga has built a reputation as a distinguished journalist.
In recognition of his contributions to journalism, he received the Edo Icon Award in 2023.
His international experience includes coordinating media activities for the Nigeria Conference of Speakers Forum in Canada in 2022.
Ochoga holds a degree from the University of Jos and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Maiduguri.
