Office of the First Lady Admonishes Women on Peace, Love, Unity

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has admonished women to live in love, peace, and unity. During a courtesy visit by the Mary J Empowerment Foundation in Government House.
Mrs. Anani emphasized the importance of women helping each other, particularly in times of need, and standing together in support of one another’s successes. She said, “When one succeeds, it indirectly helps another to do the same. We have to stand for each other as women.”
She highlighted the need for women to preach peace, love, and unity in their community, and to respect leadership. “Our duty as women is to lift each other up”.
Mrs. Anani expressed her happiness in having the women as her sisters and mothers, and assured them of their involvement in future activities. “I am very sure that moving forward, any activities that we want to do in the long term, you will all be a part of it,”
The President of the Mary J Empowerment Foundation, Lady Mary Okojie said the foundation’s work and active participation in politics was very instrumental as the group supported Governor Monday Okpebholo during his election.
Lady Mary Okojie further stated that empowerment of widows in Esan Central is one of the core area of the foundation. The foundation has been active and supportive in Esan Central.
The meeting fostered a sense of unity and cooperation among the women, with a shared commitment to promoting peace, love, and empowerment in their community.
