The Olu of Orile Kemta in Ogun State, Oba (Dr.) Adetokunbo Tejuosho, unleashed a blistering “royal rebuke” on Tuesday against former Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose, branding his viral “thank you” text to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo as a “confession of moral confusion” and a fast-track to karmic payback.
The Spark: Fayose’s Savage SMS
It all reignited after Obasanjo’s star turn at Fayose’s 65th birthday bash in Lagos on November 16, where the 89-year-old elder statesman roasted his former protégé for past insults but extended forgiveness: “You are not the best of my political children… but you have made achievements that must not be ignored.” Obasanjo recounted Fayose’s indirect invite via Osita Chidoka, a scolding of the couple as “not Omoluabi,” and a plea for genuine repentance—despite warnings from pals to skip the event over old beef.
Fayose’s reply? A Monday SMS dripping venom: “Your coming to my birthday party, which I appreciate, except for your very irresponsible comments at your age.
