The Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Newman Ugiagbe, has called on all eligible residents of the area, especially those who have attained voting age, to take advantage of the opportunity created by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to update the voter’s register ahead of the September 21st gubernatorial election in Edo State.
Hon. Ugiagbe emphasized the importance of participating in the electoral process, urging those who are yet to register to do so and those who need to transfer their voting center to a more convenient location to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration exercise (CVR). He also reminded those who have misplaced or damaged their voter’s cards to apply for replacement.
The Council Chairman stressed that the CVR exercise is an opportunity for the people of Edo State to exercise their franchise and have a say in the leadership of the state. He encouraged all eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity to register and vote in the upcoming election.
INEC’s Continuous Voters Registration Exercise started yesterday May 27th, and it is expected to run for 10 days in Edo state.
