Nollywood star Peggy Ovire has opened up about her heated clash with fellow actor Taye Arimoro, detailing her account of the drama that unfolded on a movie set in a string of raw Instagram stories.
Peggy didn’t hold back, alleging that Taye physically attacked two crew members amid mounting frustrations. The spark, she claimed, ignited when the team politely urged him to knock out just two quick scenes to call it a night after a long day.
“Taye, you beat up two crew members simply because you felt they had no voice—no social media presence, no one to speak for them. They were only begging you to please complete two short scenes so we could wrap the night. Moments later, you went live to record their reaction—leaving out the part where the violence began,” she posted.
Digging deeper, Peggy recounted how Taye rolled up to the location around noon and things were smooth sailing until the shoot dragged into the evening. He reportedly bailed without a heads-up, prompting her to gently suggest wrapping one final scene before his behind-the-scenes footage.
But tensions boiled over.
“You reacted sharply when I tried to talk to you, so I decided to give you space. Later, when the Production Manager approached you to appeal for more time, you got physical with him. You had punched the Production Manager three times and he was on the floor before the driver came out,” she revealed.
Peggy said she stepped in to de-escalate, but it was too late—the chaos had spiraled. She accused Taye of peeling out in his car while she stood right next to it, and claimed her own driver ended up with a bleeding ear after taking multiple hits from the actor.
Wrapping her posts, Peggy clarified her motive:
“I decided to share my side not out of anger, but to set the record straight.”
The public spat has fans buzzing, with many calling for both sides to be heard as the industry watches closely. No official response from Taye has surfaced yet.
