The re-instated deputy Governor of Edo state Comrade Philip Shaibu has draged the appointed deputy governor Godwins Omobayo to an Abuja high Court for contempt of court.
According to the case with suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/478/2024, comrade Shaibu is seeking Omobayo to stop parading himself as deputy governor of Edo state, according to the judgement of the high Court of 17 July 2024.
The court summons noted that Mr Omobayo can be found guilty if he fails to obey the judgement or show cause otherwise.
Defendants in the case include, the Inspector General of police, deputy governor of Edo state, Attorney General of Edo state, Chief Judge of Edo state, the speaker Edo state house of Assembly, and the Edo State House of Assembly.
