Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving the federal government’s oil production target for 2026 while simultaneously giving back to host communities along the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP).

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, PINL recently conducted a free medical outreach and palliatives distribution, benefiting over 800 residents across 60 communities in Southern Ijaw, Ogbia, and Yenagoa Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State.

CSR Initiative Highlights Community Appreciation
Dr. Akpos Mezeh, General Manager of Community Relations and Stakeholders Engagement at PINL, handed out the palliatives and emphasized the program’s purpose. “This gesture is our way of appreciating these communities for their support and for maintaining zero pipeline infractions over the past year,” he said.

He added, “Bayelsa has demonstrated excellence. Over the last year, there has been no pipeline infraction in the state, and this is worth celebrating. We are here to thank our chief partners who have been dedicated in the fight against pipeline vandalism and crude oil theft.”

Addressing Community Needs and Flood Impact
Dr. Mezeh also highlighted the need for medical attention and relief materials due to the recurring flooding in the region. “That’s why we distributed these items—to support the communities and mitigate the negative impact of flooding. We urge residents to continue their commitment in protecting the pipeline infrastructure,” he said.

Call to Action for Youth Engagement
PINL appealed specifically to the youths in these communities to sustain their efforts, stressing that their cooperation is vital for the federal government to achieve the 2026 oil output target.
