Nigel Benn erupted in a 2:31 rant post-fight, reigniting his 35-year feud with Chris Eubank Sr after son Conor Benn dominated Chris Eubank Jr in a unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Conor (29, Ilford) avenged April’s loss with a masterclass, ending the family curse that began with Nigel’s 1990 defeat and 1993 draw.
But Nigel zeroed in on Sr’s pre-fight antics:
“He loves the limelight — doesn’t care about his son. At the face-off, I tried to hug him, he put his hand up. Tonight? No handshake. I’m done.”
He torched Sr’s scripture quotes (“he don’t even know what he’s talking about”) and the duo’s negativity — especially Jr’s jabs at promoter Eddie Hearn.
“Back in the day, we never slagged off Frank Warren or Mickey Duff. Disrespectful. And always moaning about weight? He’s been middleweight forever!”
Nigel’s mic-drop:
“Sick to death of them. Glad it’s over. Won’t hear about them anymore.”
Conor’s win = family redemption. Nigel’s fury = feud reloaded.
