Reality TV Star Kandi Burruss Splits from Todd Tucker After 11 Years

By Peter.

Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kandi Burruss, 49, announced her divorce from producer husband Todd Tucker, 52, on November 21, 2025, after 11 years of marriage. In a statement to People, Burruss cited “deep thought and a lot of prayer,” emphasizing her focus on “protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”

“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ the split is amicable with “no drama,” stemming from growing apart over months. Burruss recently stopped wearing her ring and has been in NYC for Broadway work, while Tucker cares for their kids in Atlanta.

Their Journey: From RHOA Set to Family Empire

The pair met in 2011 on RHOA Season 4 (Tucker as producer), got engaged in January 2013, and wed in April 2014 in a lavish Atlanta bash. They share son Ace Wells Tucker (9) and daughter Blaze Tucker (5), blending with Burruss’ daughter Riley Dozier (20) and Tucker’s daughter Kaela Tucker (26).

Burruss once credited their bond to “great communication and having fun together” (People, Oct 2022). Professionally, they built a powerhouse: Old Lady Gang soul food chain, a trucking firm, and Kandi Koated Nights (Bravo series). In March 2022, she celebrated their eighth anniversary with a montage to her track “Forever Love”: “8 years down & a lifetime to go!”

Recent Tributes Amid Cracks

Just a week prior, at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas (Nov 14), Burruss accepted the Wifetime Achievement Award and thanked Tucker onstage:

“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions… You earned this award too.”

Fans spotted red flags: Burruss dropping “Tucker” from IG, Tucker’s absence from BravoCon, and separate social posts.

Burruss, a Grammy-nominated songwriter (TLC’s “No Scrubs”) and Tony-nominated producer (The Piano Lesson, The Wiz, Othello with Denzel Washington/Jake Gyllenhaal), returns to Broadway Dec 11 in & Juliet (through March 8, 2026). She told People their ambitions were “intertwined,” with Tucker often greenlighting her “out-of-the-box” ideas.

No details on filing yet, but the split ends a RHOA power couple era. As Burruss steps forward, her message resonates: Grace amid the glamour.
