In a major push for transparency, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee have made public over 200 previously unreleased photographs and several short videos from Jeffrey Epstein’s notorious private island, Little St. James in the US Virgin Islands. The visuals, obtained from the USVI Department of Justice following a November 18, 2025 request, offer the clearest public glimpse yet into the secluded estate where Epstein and associates allegedly trafficked and abused dozens of underage girls for years.
Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) called the images “a disturbing look into the world of Jeffrey Epstein and his island,” emphasizing: “We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency in our investigation and to help piece together the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes. We won’t stop fighting until we deliver justice for the survivors.”
The material—taken by authorities in 2020 after Epstein’s death—shows the property largely unchanged but packed up for storage: furniture rearranged, artwork removed, and personal items boxed. No people appear in the images.
Key Disturbing Details Revealed
- The Dentist-Style Chair Room: A yellow reclining chair sits under bright overhead lights, surrounded by at least 10 eerie masks depicting male faces mounted on the wall. This has sparked intense speculation, especially given Epstein funded dental training for his last known companion, Karyna Shuliak (a dentist who treated staff and guests on the island).
- Blackboard with Cryptic Words: Visible terms include “power,” “deception,” “plots,” “truth,” “political,” “intellectual,” and “music”—others redacted. Four plush chairs face the board in a circle, suggesting private discussions.
- Speed-Dial Landline Phone: Buttons labeled with first names like “Darren,” “Rich,” “Mike,” “Patrick,” and “Larry” (women’s names redacted for privacy). Investigators see this as a window into Epstein’s inner circle.
- Luxurious Yet Isolated Interiors: Pristine bedrooms with white linens, marble bathrooms, a library, hallways lined with art, figurines, and framed photos. Videos pan across lush courtyards, oceanside paths, a large pool with a fountain, and a statue of an archer by the water—highlighting the island’s remote, self-contained luxury accessible only by boat or helicopter.
Why Now? Broader Push for Epstein Files
The release aligns with renewed congressional pressure after President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act on November 19, 2025, requiring the DOJ to publish federal records in a searchable format by mid-December (with allowances for redactions protecting victims or ongoing probes).
The committee also received thousands of financial records from JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank—set for public release soon. Republicans on the panel noted they’re reviewing 5,000+ documents and criticized Democrats for “cherry-picking,” but both sides agree more transparency is coming.
Survivors like Virginia Giuffre (who described a violent assault on the island) have long detailed the isolation that enabled abuse. The USVI settled with Epstein’s estate for over $105 million in 2022, alleging dozens of minors were trafficked there. The islands sold in 2023, but scrutiny persists—lawmakers are seeking depositions (Ghislaine Maxwell plans to plead the Fifth; demands issued for Bill and Hillary Clinton).
Public Reaction
X is exploding with shock: Users call the dentist room “pure horror movie vibes,” question the masks’ purpose, and demand full DOJ file release. Viral posts note the blackboard as a peek into Epstein’s manipulative mindset. Many praise the transparency push but warn the images retraumatize victims.
These visuals don’t uncover new names or direct evidence of the network—but they powerfully match survivor accounts of a lavish prison where powerful men allegedly acted without consequence. As Garcia said: “It’s hard to imagine the horrors that happened in these rooms.”
More releases expected soon. The fight for full accountability continues.
