The AHEAD Africa HealthTech Hackathon 2025 has successfully concluded, culminating in an exciting Demo Day in Yaba, Lagos, where 10 finalist teams presented innovative digital health solutions aimed at improving access, affordability, and interoperability across African healthcare.
Organized by DrugStoc, with The Nest Innovation Technology Park as the primary implementing partner and support from CcHUB, the week-long intensive event challenged developers, entrepreneurs, and healthcare professionals to build prototypes integrating DrugStoc’s API. Technical sessions kicked off on November 21, providing hands-on guidance and mentorship.
Winners were revealed on November 25 during the larger AHEAD Africa HealthTech Conference at the Radisson Blu in Ikeja:
- 1st Place: ApexHealthTech
- 2nd Place: FCMF Group (First Class Muslim Foundation Group)
- 3rd Place: MedsightAI
- People’s Choice Award: PharmaEco
The top teams shared a prize pool of ₦10 million, with the leading seven also gaining ongoing mentorship to refine their solutions and scale them into viable businesses.
Hackathon outcomes were highlighted at the conference, where stakeholders discussed fostering equitable health systems and emphasizing interoperable digital tools to elevate patient care continent-wide.
This initiative highlights the rising momentum in Africa’s healthtech ecosystem, bridging innovation with practical impact in healthcare delivery.
