Russian School Tragedy: Pupil Killed in Stabbing by Another Student

By Peter.

A horrifying knife attack unfolded at a school in the village of Gorki-2, Odintsovo district west of Moscow, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, leaving a 10-year-old boy dead and several others injured, including a security guard. Russian authorities confirmed the assailant—a 15-year-old ninth-grade student named Timofey K.—was detained at the scene after a rampage involving a knife and pepper spray.

The Attack: A Chilling Sequence

The incident erupted around 9 a.m. at Uspenskaya Secondary School in the affluent Gorki-2 area. According to police and the Investigative Committee:

  • The suspect, armed with a knife, pepper spray, bulletproof vest, and ballistic helmet, first assaulted a security guard (stabbing and spraying him).
  • He then targeted students, fatally stabbing the 10-year-old fourth-grader.
  • Reports indicate he injured at least two more children and took a selfie with the victim’s body.
  • The attacker wore a T-shirt emblazoned with “No Lives Matter” and a Kolovrat symbol (a pagan Slavic sun wheel often co-opted by neo-Nazis).
  • He allegedly asked a teacher about her nationality before escalating.

SWAT teams stormed the school, evacuating students amid chaos. The guard and other injured are hospitalized; the young victim died at the scene.

The Investigative Committee has opened a murder probe, with motives under scrutiny—preliminary reports suggest ideological ties to misanthropic online groups like “No Lives Matter,” known for glorifying violence and extremism.

Rising School Violence in Russia

Once rare, school attacks have surged in recent years, often linked to online radicalization and copycat behavior inspired by Columbine-style incidents. This marks the second knife attack in two days (a St. Petersburg teacher stabbed Monday) and adds to 2025’s grim tally, echoing:

  • Hammer assaults (Chelyabinsk, 2024).
  • Shootings (Bryansk girl killing a classmate before suicide, 2023).

Authorities blame “destructive youth movements” and foreign influences, tightening gun/knife laws post-past events, but knife access remains a challenge.

Community Shock and Ongoing Probe

Gorki-2, an elite enclave, is reeling—parents rushed to the scene, with footage showing armored police and evacuated children. The suspect’s father expressed bewilderment; investigators are probing preparation (days in advance) and potential accomplices.

No official motive released yet, but extremism flags are raised. The case underscores Russia’s struggle with youth radicalization amid internet exposure.

Prayers for the victims’ families and swift justice. This is heartbreaking—schools should be safe havens. 🇷🇺💔 #RussiaSchoolAttack #Gorki2Stabbing #SchoolViolence
