Security: Edo First Lady’s Office Partners PCRC

In a bid to enhance security and promote community policing, the Coordinator’s Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has partnered with the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Edo State. During a courtesy visit to Government House.
Mrs. Anani welcomed PCRC members and commended their efforts in ensuring the safety of lives and property in the state.
The Coordinator noted that the Nigeria Police are making significant strides, introducing innovative initiatives to upgrade the force. She emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and that the PCRC plays a vital role in complementing the police’s efforts.
Mrs. Anani assured that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration has put in place necessary mechanisms to protect lives and property in Edo State.
Chairman of the Edo State PCRC, Rev. Dr. Isaac Oshiobughie Itseghosimhe JP, represented by Pastor Ken Okungbowo, expressed gratitude for the First Lady’s support and impactful initiatives.
He stated, the PCRC’s objectives are geared towards enhancing police-community relations, preventing crime through collaborative efforts with the Nigeria Police Force and supporting the police with welfare initiatives
The PCRC delegation sought partnership with the First Lady’s office, requesting consideration as Matron, aligning with the Governor’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
This partnership is expected to yield positive outcomes in the state’s security landscape, fostering a safer environment for residents.
The meeting underscores the importance of collaboration between government agencies, security forces, and community organizations in achieving peace and security. Edo State takes a significant step towards enhancing its security architecture and promoting community policing.
