On Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Idogbo Community Town Hall in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, Edo State, Senator Neda Imasuen, Senator Representing Edo South Senatorial District organized a comprehensive medical outreach. The event saw over five hundred residents benefit from free quality healthcare services.
The medical outreach, which was meticulously planned and executed, included a variety of healthcare services aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term health needs of the community.
The services provided included health talks and advocacy sessions, vital checks such as BMI, blood pressure, pulse rate, and physical examinations. Point-of-care testing for malaria and blood glucose levels were also conducted, helping to identify and manage these common health issues on the spot.
Consultations with medical doctors ensured that each patient’s needs were carefully addressed. Additionally, the outreach saw the free distribution of essential medications including antimalarial drugs, antihypertensive drugs, oral hypoglycemic drugs for diabetes, vitamins, and other necessary treatments.
Speaking at the event, Senator Imasuen emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare and his commitment to improving the well-being of his constituents.
He expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the impact of the outreach, noting that it is just one of many initiatives planned to support the people of Edo South.
