- Tuesday, November 18, 2025: Eiye retaliated, stabbing Konto—a member of their group—to death from wounds inflicted in the initial fray. Later that morning, Jonathan, a recent transplant from Warri with no known cult ties, was fatally stabbed in the crossfire.
An anonymous police source told PUNCH the motive remains unclear but points to “a lingering cult attack,” underscoring the deep-seated rivalries plaguing the oil-rich Niger Delta region. Anti-cultism advocacy platform Naija Confra broke the news on social media, warning of escalating tensions and calling for swift intervention to prevent further casualties.

Agbarho, a vibrant Urhobo enclave known for its festivals and farmlands, has a grim history of cult violence.
