Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) paid a courtesy call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) at the State House, Abuja, on Thursday, November 27, 2025 — just weeks after his historic re-election victory.
In a heartfelt Facebook post on Friday, Soludo wrote:
“Mr. President received me with his usual warmth, big smile, and open arms. He again personally congratulated me on the resounding mandate given to me by the good people of Anambra State — a victory he described as a testament to the trust and confidence Ndi Anambra have in our shared vision for a livable and prosperous homeland.”
Soludo, who swept all 21 LGAs in the November 8 off-cycle election, thanked Tinubu for his immediate congratulatory message on election night and reiterated their 22-year friendship.
Southern Governors & Traditional Rulers Unveil Bold Regional Blueprint
Earlier on Wednesday, November 26, Soludo — Vice Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum — joined governors and traditional rulers from the South at a landmark meeting in Iperu, Ogun State, where they adopted a comprehensive action plan covering security, economy, and governance.
Key Resolutions:
- Vote of Confidence in President Tinubu for his leadership amid national challenges.
- Zonal Security Trust Fund to finance coordinated cross-state operations.
- Enhanced Intelligence Sharing between security agencies and states.
- Renewed Push for State Police and a harmonised resident ID system.
- Strengthening Regional Outfits like Amotekun and joint border patrols.
- Tighter Land & Mining Laws to curb illegal exploitation.
- Greater Role for Traditional Rulers in conflict resolution and grassroots governance.
The Southern leaders pledged to “speak with one voice” on national issues while working constructively with the Federal Government.
Soludo, echoing the communique, declared:
“Stronger regional cooperation, institutional reforms, and people-centred policies are essential for building a safer, more prosperous, and united Nigeria. We are one Nigeria — and together, with God on our side, we will build the Anambra and Nigeria of our dreams.”
