Unified in Prayer: Office of the First Lady Welcomes WOWICAN Delegation, Support Edo State’s New Era

In a display of faith and unity, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, emphasized the vital role of personal prayer in unlocking the blessings of Christ during a reception for the Women’s Wing Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN) at Government House.
“Personal prayer is the master key that opens every door to Christ, His salvation, and abundant life blessings,” Mrs. Anani stated, welcoming the WOWICAN delegation led by the President, Mrs. Eunice Ojezua. She commended the group for their courtesy visit and steadfast intercessions on behalf of the state.
“We should lead our Christian lives through continual prayer, every day,” Mrs. Anani urged. “The unity displayed when different denominations come together is a powerful testament to our oneness in Christ.”
Highlighting the significance of intercessory prayer for the welfare of the state, Mrs. Anani called on the assembled delegates to pray for Edo State, describing it as “a new dawn,” “a new beginning,” and a period marked by a purpose-driven government that prioritizes the welfare of its people. “As women intercessors, I urge you to always pray for our leaders and dear State,” she added.
Reaffirming her commitment, Mrs. Anani assured the delegates of her unwavering support, emphasizing the need to emulate Jesus’ lifestyle in all endeavors.
In response, WOWICAN President, Mrs. Eunice Ojezua congratulated Mrs. Anani on her new role and pledged the full backing of her organization. “We congratulate you and want you to know that we stand solidly behind you. You have our continued support,” she affirmed.
The meeting was further enriched by remarks from Apostle Sule Faraday, Special Adviser on Religious Matters to the Edo State Governor, who lauded the First Lady as a unifying maternal figure, describing her as the “Mother of Edo State.”
The visit culminated in a joint prayer session, symbolizing the collective commitment of WOWICAN, the state government, and the people of Edo State to usher in a new era of hope and progress.
