FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has laughed off his expulsion from the PDP, calling Saturday’s Ibadan convention an early “Detty December” party. His aide said delegates arrived to drink and dance, so their decisions should be ignored.
“They started their Dirty December in November. After drinks, they can say anything,” the statement read.
Ex-Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose was also expelled alongside factional Secretary Samuel Anyanwu and eight others for anti-party acts.
PDP founder Chief Bode George moved the motion, seconded by Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed. But two PDP governors—Caleb Mutfwang and Ahmadu Fintiri—rejected it, calling it divisive and unsanctioned.
The convention ignored court orders to stop. Wike’s camp says the expulsion means nothing.
