PA PETER OSAZEWINDE ENOGUEVA LAID TO REST AMID TRIBUTES AND LASTING LEGACY

Benin City, Edo State– The Enogueva family has bid a final farewell to their father, Pa Peter Osazewinde Enogueva, popularly known as “Uncle P.”
The funeral events began on Thursday, October 24th 2024 with a Service of Songs and concluded with a Thanksgiving service on Sunday at God’s Family Assembly, 205 Sapele Road, Benin City.
Born on July 17, 1953, Pa Osazewinde was the eldest son in a family of seven and became head of the family after his father’s passing.
His career spanned teaching, farming, business, and sports, with the founding of Mc Peterson a thriving sports company in Benin City. He also spent part of his life in Japan, expanding his family and business ventures.
In an emotional tribute, Mr. Joseph Enogueva, the eldest son, described his father as a “strong man, and a father to all.” He expressed gratitude to the guests who travelled from far and wide to attend the ceremony.
Mrs. Osato Iyamu (née Enogueva), daughter of the deceased, described her father as “caring, loving, and the best,” reflecting on his positive impact.
Prominent figures also shared their reflections. Hon. Newman Ugiagbe, Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government, praised the late patriarch for fostering unity. “Pa Osazewinde cared for others and left a legacy of unity that his children must uphold,” he charged.
Ambassador Wesley Asoro and Barr Chris Agbonmwanegbe urged the family to remain united, while Lady Uwa Osunbor, a cousin, recalled how Uncle P supported her academic and personal development. Hon. Frank Omosigho, Member representing Oredo East in the Edo State House of Assembly, and Hon.Osawaru Billy Adesuwa House of Rep. Member Orhionmwon/Uhumwonde federal constituency emphasized the importance of living a meaningful life, commending Pa Osazewinde’s legacy.
Other diginities at the event encouraged the family to remain united.
Rev. Samuel Igwebuike, delivering a sermon titled *“Prophetic Insight,”* encouraged the congregation to seek divine wisdom for victory in their endeavors.
The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and prayed for continued unity as they carry on their father’s values.
Pa Peter Osazewinde Enogueva is survived by eight children, including Mrs. Osato Iyamu, and numerous grandchildren. His legacy of love, unity, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.
