Coordination Office of the First Lady Reiterates Commitment to Combating Gender-Based Violence

The Coordinator Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has reaffirmed Edo State Government commitment to combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and empowering women during a meeting with GBV survivors and beneficiaries of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) grants at the Government House in Benin City.
Mrs. Anani emphasized that the Sen. Monday Okpebholo-led administration has a zero-tolerance policy for violence against women and prioritizes empowering women to enhance their self-sufficiency.
She encouraged survivors to speak out and seek justice, noting that empowerment is key to their well-being. The beneficiaries were advised to utilize resources wisely and make prudent financial decisions.
Mrs. Anani prayed that the resources provided would be blessed and multiplied, enabling them to support others and become a source of inspiration.
One of the beneficiaries, Isoken Amadin expressed gratitude for Mrs. Anani’s support and promised to make the most of the opportunities provided, utilizing the resources to achieve their goals and inspire others.
