Easter: Hon. Bright Iyamu urges Christians to imbibe virtues of sacrifice

The hon. member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency in Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Bright Aitenguoba Iyamu has felicitates Christians on the celebration of Good Friday and Easter .
Easter in Christendom marks the crucifixion , death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Easter is an acknowledged day to reflect, and also a day to offer deep gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus christ, made for humanity.
Iyamu said “let take a moment to contemplate the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice. He willingly laid down his life, suffering unimaginable pain and humiliation, so that we could be forgiven our sins and also to have eternal life with God”.
He further stated that selfless love and mercy is a testament to the depth of God’s love for each and every one of us, let us also reflect on our own lives, examine our hearts, and acknowledge our own need for forgiveness.
“It is worthy of note that Jesus’ death on calvary was not the end of the story because three days later, he arose triumphantly from the grave, conquering sin and death. His resurrection marks the ultimate victory over darkness and despair, offering us the promise of new life and eternal salvation”, he added.
