Edo State Government Ressures Support For Benin Cultural Heritage

The Benin vibrant cultural heritage is an integral part of the custom and tradition of the people, this was the assertion of Edesili Okpebholo Anani, Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, when she played host to Aiguobasinmwin Movement led by the president, Iyamu Osaro Culture at Government House, Benin-city, recently.
Mrs. Anani paid glowing tribute to the Revered Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewere 11 CFR, Oba of Benin for preserving and promoting the Benin rich cultural heritage and values.
She appreciated the Aiguobasinmwin Movement for their dedication and commitment in projecting and promoting Edo State’s cultural heritage.
‘I am glad that young vibrant youth are interested in our cultural heritage. Edo State is known to be a land of culture. It is the ancient city of bronze, cradle of black civilizations, the heartbeat of the nation”.
She applaud the efforts of the movement in empowering individuals, while nothing that a productive society is pertinent in reducing social ills. The Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo administration is commitment to serving the good people of Edo state and ensuring our culture heritage, artifacts are properly preserved.”
The President of the group, Mr. Iyamu Osaro solicited for collaboration with the Office of the First Lady, to enable them embark on their planned two months entrepreneurship workshop, in honor of His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewere 11 CFR, Oba of Benin.
Osaro commended the First Lady personality and her receptiveness to everyone. “We are here to congratulate you on the assumption of this great office. We are excited for all you do for humanity. We have never seen such an amazing mother and leader like you. We have been following all your activities, and hope that other political office holders will emulate your style of leadership”. He said.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of the Aiguobasinmwin Movement entrepreneurship workshop proposal and a group photograph.
