The Office of the First Lady of Edo State, represented by its Coordinator, Mrs. Edesili Okpebolo Anani, received a courtesy visit from Twinsporium Entertainment Agency, organizers of the Miss Beauty Pageant International 2025. The delegation included the reigning queen, Daniella Oshawo, and her team.

During the visit, Daniella Oshawo commended Mrs. Anani’s dedication to addressing gender-based violence in Edo State and advocated for the sustainability of these efforts.

Speaking on her pet project, the beauty queen outlined her proposal to donate furniture to underdeveloped schools across the state. She explained that her initiative was inspired by visits to several primary schools where she observed a lack of desks and chairs for pupils.

“The goal of this project is to implement strategies that create a conducive learning environment, fostering academic excellence and student engagement,” Oshawo stated.

She emphasized the importance of education in societal progress, noting that inadequate infrastructure remains a major challenge in many schools.

“Education is the cornerstone of societal progress, and we must ensure that our children have access to quality learning facilities. Unfortunately, many schools in our state struggle with inadequate infrastructure. This project aims to address these challenges by providing essential furniture to underdeveloped schools,” she added.

Mrs. Anani expressed her appreciation for Daniella Oshawo’s initiative and reiterated the Edo State Government’s commitment to ensuring that every child has access to free and quality education in a conducive environment.

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically. An investment in education yields the best returns. Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. A new Edo has risen in our educational system,” she affirmed.
