Osayande visits Upper Mission Extension, Ben Imade, plans palliative work on dilapidated portion of roads

The Ikpoba-Okha local government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande, on Monday, paid an on-the-spot tour on failed portion of Upper Mission Extension, Ben Imade, and the entire stretch of road, to ascertain the level of palliative intervention to be carried out in the area.
While inspecting the areas in Ward 4 of the LGA, Osayande noted that his administration will continue to intervene at the Council level on critical areas deserving attention, while presenting the issues to the state government for long-term arrangement.
“I am here to see the level of work to be done on these areas; I have received calls from affected residents, and as a government, I feel compelled to intervene at the Council level; we will immediately flag-off palliative works on these portions for the mean time, while we work to get the state government for a long-term intervention.”
“I have directed the Council Engineer to immediately embark on needs assessment, after which a major palliative work will be commence on the roads”, Osayande added.
Recall that on Saturday and Sunday, the Ikpoba-Okha local government Chairman carried out a major erosion-control palliative works on Uyiosa, Upper Sakponba Road, Ward 8 of the local government area, a move that has gained significant applauds from motorists and members of the public.
With the Chairman on the inspection tour on Monday were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Osamuyi Idehen, Leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Kingsley Balogban, Secretary to Local Government, Barr. Osagie Igbinomwanhia.
Councilor, Ward 4, Hon. Esosa Odia-Nosa and other members of the Ward were on ground to receive the Chairman and his entourage.
Osayande has ordered the immediate commencement of palliative works on the failed areas.
