Shaibu Inspects Radisson Hotel, Stand Against Corruption

By FloMedia Reporter

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Philip Shaibu, has embarked on a spot assessment of state projects, including the contentious Radisson Hotel construction site.

This move comes amidst allegations of corruption against the Obaseki administration, particularly regarding inflated contract costs.

Shaibu has been vocal about his disapproval of Governor Obaseki’s practices, including padding contracts to receive kickbacks.

During his visit to the Radisson Hotel site this morning, Shaibu expressed satisfaction with the project’s quality but emphasized the importance of adhering to the timeline.

The site engineers assured him that the first phase would be completed by November this year. Notably, the project’s initial cost was approved at 19.6 billion naira, awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji Construction Company.

Shaibu’s commitment to transparency and accountability is evident in his actions. By monitoring progress and engaging with project stakeholders, he ensures that Edo State’s resources are utilized efficiently, benefiting the people. This stance is particularly significant given the corruption allegations surrounding the Obaseki administration.

As the deputy governor continues his assessment tour, the people of Edo State can rest assured that their interests are being represented with diligence and integrity.

Shaibu’s leadership style, marked by openness and accountability, sets a high standard for public service and the Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
