In gratitude to God Almighty for a successful two years of legislative service, the Member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Honourable Bright Iyamu, joined the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, and distinguished members at a special thanksgiving service held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Airport Road, Benin City.
Delivering the homily, Rev. Fr. Charles Omogiate urged fathers to prioritize their families, spend meaningful time with their children, and pray for God’s continued grace. He also called on the Speaker and other lawmakers to lead with wisdom, reminding them that public office is a temporary trust.
Also present at the event was the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who was commended by the clergy for his impactful leadership. Prayers were offered for the Governor to continue making Edo a model state in Nigeria, with a legacy the people would always cherish.
