Coordinator Office of the First Lady Issues Stern Warning Against Child Abuse

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Mrs Edesili Anani has issue a stern warning against children abuse in all forms.
She issued the warning during a courtesy visit by the Child Protection Network delegation in Government House.
Mrs. Edesili notes that children especially adopted children are being abused and harassed by people who claimed they want to help them.
Mrs Anani said, most of the children are still been abuse by their guardian after they promised to take care of them.
The National Coordinator of Child Protection Network, Mr Olakunle Sanni
noted that the coordinator office of the first lady is supposed to play significant role in such events as the mother of the state and the mother of all children.
Mr Sanni further stated that, the network is for both the state and civil society organization, explaining that it is a unique platform and the office of the first lady should have a representative in the Child Protection Network of Edo state, such that whenever a meeting is going on, the action, intervention will beĀ transmit to the government through the representative.
He appealed for government support in the area of resources and manpower as they cannot do it alone.
He thank the coordinator office of the first lady for the way the states government has started and they also appreciate her efforts and hope to see more in the nearest future.
